Tokenized economy tax and accounting software provider TaxBit said it has formed a leadership team to head its government office, targeting mainstream digital asset adoption progression.
Nathan Jones has been appointed as Senior Vice President and GM of Worldwide Public Sector Sales and Government Affairs. Miles Fuller will be Head of Government Solutions, and Christi Muoneke will serve as Corporate General Counsel.
“We are excited to announce the expansion of our U.S. presence to Washington D.C., as it will help the Hill, IRS (Internal Revenue Service), and the American public further progress mainstream digital asset adoption,” TaxBit CEO Austin Woodward said. “We’re delighted to welcome these government sales, policy, and compliance heavy hitters to our team.”
The IRS utilizes TaxBit via multi-year contracts to provide data analysis and tax calculation support for cryptocurrency holding taxpayers.
Jones, who comes to TaxBit from Red Hat, where he served for 19 years, would be responsible for leading customer support, government affairs influence and education, and global public sector sales. Fuller, who previously served as senior counsel at the IRS, will build TaxBit’s vision for government business and serve as a subject matter expert to government and IRS customers. Muoneke, who spent over 15 years working with fintech and technology firms such as Meta, DocuSign, Microsoft, and Avalara, is slated to lead TaxBit’s legal and compliance functions.
“With cryptocurrency’s fast-growing market cap and digital assets’ fast adoption rate by businesses and investors, the ecosystem requires infrastructure services to meet business, government, and investor needs,” Perianne Boring, founder and president of the Chamber of Digital Commerce, said. “This growth in services and applications, such as TaxBit’s, is another strong indicator that digital assets are playing an increasingly important role in the American and global economies.”
