The roundtable, Know Your Custodian: Key Considerations for Crypto Custody, is part of a series and will be held at the SEC’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

While the event is open to the public, registration is required. The public also can watch a live webcast on the SEC’s website. No registration is necessary for the webcast.

“It is important for the SEC to grapple with custody issues, which are some of the most challenging as we seek to integrate crypto assets into our regulatory structure,” SEC Commissioner Hester M. Peirce, Crypto Task Force leader, said. “We look forward to hearing from experts on these important issues.”

Opening remarks will be provided by SEC staff members Peirce, Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw, Acting Chairman Mark Uyeda, and Crypto Task Force Chief of Staff Richard Gabbert.

Two discussions will be held moderated by Zach Zweihorn from Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP: custody through broker-dealers and beyond, and investment adviser and investment company custody.

Panelists include representatives from Fidelity Digital Asset Services and Georgetown University Law Center.
