Officials said the meeting, slated for June 14, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. in Atlanta, Georgia, will also feature an “Investing in America” Town Hall on June 13 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., as part of an effort to meet with, and hear from, Main Street investors.

The June 14 IAC meeting will include two panel discussions with outside speakers: “Discussion of the Commission’s Proposed Regulation Best Interest and Proposed Restriction on the Use of Certain Names or Titles,” and “Discussion Regarding the Commission’s Proposed Form CRS Relationship Summary, including Effective Disclosure and Design”, as well as discussion on disclosure enhancements for municipal and corporate bonds.

The committee is also expected to welcome three new members: Paul Mahoney, the David and Mary Harrison Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of Virginia School of Law; Lydia Mashburn, managing director of the Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives at Cato Institute; and J.W. Verret, tenured associate professor of law at the Antonin Scalia Law School and senior scholar at Mercatus Center at George Mason University.

IAC was established under Section 911 of the Dodd-Frank Act to advise the SEC on regulatory priorities, the regulation of securities products, trading strategies, and fee structures as well as to promote investor confidence and the integrity of the securities marketplace.
