Northern Trust names former Missouri legislator and treasurer as COO of Wealth Management

Northern Trust hired Clint Zweifel, former state legislator and Missouri state treasurer, as chief operating officer of its Wealth Management office in St. Louis.

Zweifel’s primary responsibility is business development throughout Missouri. He reports to Thomas Collins, head of the St. Louis office.

“Given the wealth of experience and respect that Clint has garnered during his long and distinguished career in Missouri, he will be a tremendous addition to our talented St. Louis office team,” Collins said.

“We are extremely fortunate to have someone with Clint’s background, integrity, and leadership skills joining us. As a native St. Louisan, he will add an additional layer of connectivity in our market as we continue to grow our St. Louis and overall Missouri presence,” Collins added.

Zweifel served as Missouri state treasurer from 2009 to 2017 and was in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2002 to 2009.

He is also the current board secretary for the Missouri Board of Fund Commissioners as well as a trustee with the State Employees Retirement System. In addition he is commissioner of the Housing Development Commission and chairperson of the Pension & Trust Committee of the National Association of State Treasurers. Previously, he served as chair for the Missouri Military Partnership.

Zweifel earned a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Missouri at St. Louis.
