TD Bank named Christopher Giamo its new head of Regional Commercial Bank, replacing Fred Graziano who retired after 25 years with TD Bank.
In his new role, Giamo will oversee small business, middle market and commercial lending; government banking; treasury management services and corporate deposits; and commercial credit management.
“Chris has a long track record of success across the banking industry and understands how to build and develop winning strategies and teams,” said Greg Braca, chief operating officer, TD Bank. “He is passionate about serving customers and driving results, and is well-positioned to lead our growing commercial banking business.”
Giamo was promoted from regional president of TD Bank’s New York Metro region, where he ran commercial and retail banking activities. He joined the company in 1998 as head of the middle market lending group. Since then he’s held various positions of increasing responsibility in commercial and retail banking.
“The Commercial Bank at TD Bank continues to expand, providing great opportunity for us to serve businesses of all sizes,” Giamo said. “I look forward to working with the commercial team to accelerate our growth within the marketplace.” Giamo has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and serves on the boards of several organizations, including the Long Island Association, Global Gateway Alliance, Huntington Hospital and TD Private Client Wealth, LLC.
