Kevin Fromer was hired as president and CEO of the Financial Services Forum, an organization made up of CEOs of the largest financial services firms in the United States.
“Our members serve our clients each day with the capabilities we bring to help them compete, produce jobs, and drive the economy forward,” Forum Chairman and Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan said. “Kevin has the experience to help us as we engage with policymakers on the best ways to promote growth and maintain financial stability.”
Fromer joins the Financial Forum from HSBC North America Holdings, where he served as executive vice president and head of government affairs and public policy. Prior to HSBC, Fromer was senior advisor to the chairman and chief executive of Legg Mason Global Asset Management.
Also, he served as assistant secretary of the Treasury for Legislative Affairs in the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 2005 and 2009. He won the Alexander Hamilton Award, the Treasury Department’s highest honor, for his role in the government’s response to the financial crisis.
Fromer also worked as chief of staff to U.S. Rep.Harold Rogers (R-KY), and associate staff of the House Appropriations Committee.

Fromer sits on several boards, including British American Business, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, the National Presbyterian School, the Organization for International Investment, and the Corporate Advisory Council of Children’s National Health System. He graduated from the University of Virginia.
