The applications for Lottery applications for adult-use cannabis retailers, Non-lottery applications for Cultivators located in a Disproportionately Impacted Area (DIA), Equity Joint Ventures, Non-lottery applications for conversion from Medical Marijuana Producer to Expanded Producer, and Non-lottery applications for conversion from Medical Marijuana Dispensary to Hybrid Retailer will be accepted online at elicense.ct.gov.

“This is an exciting step toward opening the adult-use cannabis market,” said DCP Commissioner Michelle H. Seagull. “We want to remind all interested applicants to be thorough and to complete their applications carefully and thoughtfully, and to be patient as we move through the lottery and application review process.”

The department said applicants are encouraged to submit “the most thorough and complete application possible” when applying for the cannabis licenses and not rush through their application. Lottery applications will not be reviewed until the application window closes, the department said. The application period will be open for 90 days.

Descriptions of each type of license are available on ct.gov/cannabis to help applicants determine which license is appropriate for their business. Individuals identified as backers associated with the cannabis establishment application must also complete an application as a backer before the application window closes to ensure they are considered part of the application.

Lottery application periods for Micro-cultivator, Delivery Service, Hybrid Retailer, Food and Beverage, Product Manufacturer, Product Packager, and Transporter will be accepted at later dates.
