The CFPB is seeking feedback from the public to help it assess the overall effectiveness and accessibility of its guidance materials and activities, which includes implementation support.

Further, the bureau is also looking at whether it is necessary to make changes to the formats, processes, and delivery methods for providing this guidance. In addition, the CFPB is considering whether it would be appropriate to make changes to the disclaimers used on certain forms of guidance.

The RFI on guidance and implementation support is available on the Consumer Finance website.

The CFPB will begin accepting comments once the RFI is printed in the Federal Register on April 2. The comment period will be open for 90 days.

This is the 10th RFI put out by CFPB Acting Director Mick Mulvaney since he took over last December. It is part of an effort to ensure that the bureau is fulfilling its proper and appropriate functions. This RFIs give the public an opportunity to suggest ways to improve outcomes for both consumers and covered entities.

The next RFI in the series, which will be issued next week, will address consumer education. After that, there will be one on consumer inquiries.
