The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) recently installed new officers during the organization’s annual convention in Denver, Colorado.
Officials said Dave Motley will serve as chairman while Christopher M. George and Brian Stoffers will serve as chairman-elect and vice chairman, respectively.
Motley is president of Colonial Savings, F.A., and its divisions — Colonial National Mortgage and CU Members Mortgage. George serves as president and CEO of CMG Financial and Brian Stoffers is Global president, Debt & Structured Finance at CBRE.
“I am honored to serve as MBA’s 2018 Chairman and look forward to the year ahead,” Motley said. “It will be a pleasure to work with both Chris and Brian and together we will ensure that MBA serves its many members, of all sizes, by focusing on the issues that most affect the residential and commercial/multifamily industries.”
MBA officials said Motley served as the 2017 Chairman of MBA’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, served on MBA’s Board of Directors for six years and has been on
MBA’s Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG) since 2008, including two years as RESBOG chairman.
George’s company conducts business in 49 states and the District of Columbia and holds federal agency lending approvals with HUD, VA, RHS, GNMA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac while in his role with CBRE Stoffers oversees the practice that has nearly 140 professionals and has originated approximately $216 billion in loan volumes since 2007.
