“The annual Small Business Forum provides an important platform for identifying pressing issues affecting capital raising for small businesses in communities across the country,” Mark Uyeda, SEC acting chairman, said. “We encourage entrepreneurs, investors, and members of the public to join us for this important event.”

Public and private sector members attend the forum to discuss ways to improve policies regarding how small businesses, entrepreneurs, and smaller public companies raise capital from investors.

Small-business leaders will lead discussions on how smaller public companies and early- to late-stage private companies can raise capital.

From 2020 to 2024, the forum was hosted virtually. This year, the event will be held in-person from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern. Virtual attendance still will be available for those who cannot attend physically.

Forum participants will be able to submit policy recommendations in advance. At the end of the event, participants will be able to vote online to prioritize which recommendations will be included in a report to the SEC and Congress.

The agenda and registration information will be made available on SEC.gov when the event is closer.
