The Federal Reserve Board is accepting applications from those seeking consideration for membership on the panel’s Community Advisory Council (CAC), which advises the Board on issues impacting consumers and communities.
According to the Federal Register, applications received between April 10, 2023, and June 9, 2023, will be considered for selection to the CAC for terms beginning Jan. 1, 2024. Individuals interested in being considered for the CAC may apply through the Board’s website or email their submission to CCA-CAC@frb.gov. Applicants from previous years may re-apply.
The CAC is composed of varied experts and representatives of consumer and community development organizations and interests representing fields that include affordable housing, community, and economic development, employment and labor, and financial services and technology.
The CAC meets semiannually with members of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington. The body provides a range of perspectives on the economic circumstances and financial services needs of consumers and communities, focusing on the concerns of low and moderate-income consumers and communities.
The Federal Reserve Board expects to announce the CAC appointments later this year.
