Primeau chosen for NHBA Community Banker of the Year Award

Mark Primeau, president and chief executive officer of the Bank of New Hampshire, received the 2016 Community Banker of the Year Award at the New Hampshire Bankers Association’s (NHBA) annual conference.

A panel of leading public officials, including New Hampshire State Sen. Chuck Morse (R-Salem), New Hampshire State Rep. John Hunt (R-Cheshire) and New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits CEO Kathleen Reardon, chose Primeau for the award

“It was an honor to present Mark with our Community Banker of the Year Award in recognition of his outstanding leadership, community dedication, philanthropy, and volunteerism,” Christiana Thornton, president and chief executive officer of the NHBA, said.

Primeau served as chairman of the NHBA board of directors and has been a long-time member of the NHBA’s legislative committee.

Primeau also serves on the board of the Daniel Webster Council – Boy Scouts of America after previously serving as president and chairman. Additionally, Primeau holds a seat on the board of the Granite United Way and serves as a trustee for LRGHealthcare.

The New Hampshire Banking Association is a statewide, non-profit trade association that represents all banking institutions in New Hampshire and promotes the general welfare, usefulness and public perception of banking institutions throughout the state.
