Truist Financial names new head of Truist Wealth

North Carolina-based Truist Financial Corp. recently announced Shimna Sameer has been named as head of Truist Wealth, effective in October.

Truist Wealth provides wealth management solutions to affluent, high, and ultra-high net worth individuals, families and business owners.

Sameer has more than 20 years of consumer banking, wealth management and private banking experience. She comes to Truist from Bank of America Private Bank where she served as head of products, solutions and platforms. Earlier in her career, she led scaled client-facing businesses and large transformational initiatives.

In her new role, Sameer will be tasked with accelerating the performance of and scaling the delivery of the wealth management business. She will have broad business strategy oversight.
