Alice Frazier, president and CEO of West Virginia-based Potomac Bank, recently was elected Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) chairwoman for 2026-27 at ICBA LIVE in San Diego, Calif. Her term began on Monday.
At the conference, Frazier praised community banks and urged them to commit to identify, mentor and educate the next generation of community bank leaders.
“Alice found purpose as a financial steward of her community, and turned her passion into action, testifying before Congress, canvasing the country spreading the community banking message, and encouraging others to get involved to preserve the legacy of community banking,” Jack Hopkins, ICBA immediate past chairman, said. “Alice will bring that same visionary leadership and determination to her role as chairman as ICBA works to empower the community banks that power local communities.”
Frazier also serves as ICBA board of directors chairwoman, ICBA Executive Committee chairwoman, ICBA Federal Delegate Board member and Policy Development and Nominating committees member.
In addition, she is Large Community Bank Council executive committee liaison, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Board member, WVU East Hospital System treasurer and Loudoun Economic Development Authority treasurer.
ICBA is a national advocacy organization dedicated to promoting the interests of locally operated community banks and savings institutions.
