“Ben brings deep knowledge of the bank regulatory and supervisory landscape and shares my vision for continual improvement,” Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan Gould said. “He is a proven leader in the private and public sectors with a record of driving change in complex organizations. Ben will play a key role in shaping and scaling supervision teams, as well as building the infrastructure needed to support them — ensuring it is aligned with the current and emerging structure of the banking system.”

Eddy worked in the private sector prior to joining the OCC and has experience in banks’ risk, regulatory and operational transformations. He previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and for various private sector companies as a consultant, bank supervisor and auditor, and risk manager.

As deputy comptroller for regional and midsize financial institutions, Eddy will oversee the supervision of national banks and federal savings associations with assets between $30 billion and $500 billion and will serve as a member of OCC’s executive committee.

Eddy earned a bachelor’s degree in finance.
