The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is hosting a roundtable on June 26 when the topic of executive compensation disclosure requirements will be discussed.

The roundtable will be held at the SEC’s headquarters at 100 F Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. It is open to the public and will be streamed live on SEC.gov. A recording of the meeting will be posted at a later date.
“It is important for the Commission to engage in retrospective reviews of its rules to ensure that they continue to be cost-effective and result in disclosure of material information without an overload of immaterial information,” SEC Chairman Paul Atkins said. “As part of this review of its executive compensation requirements, the SEC will host a roundtable with representatives from public companies and investors, as well as other experts in this field.”
SEC staff will provide more details about the roundtable’s agenda and speakers in the coming weeks. Atkins has asked staff to consider, like What is the process by which companies develop their executive compensation packages?
The number of in-person participants may be limited and visitors will be subject to security checks.
However, members of the public may submit comments electronically or on paper. Electronic comments can be sent through the SEC’s online submission form or via email at rule-comments@sec.gov with “4-855” included in the subject line.
Paper comments can be sent to Vanessa Countryman, Secretary, Securities and Exchange Commission, 100 F Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20549-1090.
