PNC Bank, one of the largest diversified financial services institutions in the United States, recently announced it will be expanding in nearly 20 markets across the United States including Chicago, Nashville, Sarasota and Winston-Salem. The bank will be adding more than 300 new branches by 2030, 100 more than when the bank announced expansion plans last year. The investment is approximately $2 billion.
PNC plans to hire more than 2,000 new employees by 2030 to support the expansion efforts and also will completely renovate its branch network by 2029.
In Nashville, PNC plans to add approximately 35 new branches. It will add an additional 40 branches in six other cities across the Southeast. PNC aims to be a leading bank in these markets.
“We’re excited to grow our footprint in Nashville, a city celebrated for its music, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit,” Mike D. Johnson, PNC regional president for Tennessee, said. “The additional branches strengthen our ability to provide valuable resources and expertise, reflecting our commitment to supporting the region’s dynamic economy and vibrant communities. Through continued local investment, PNC is creating more opportunities to deliver tailored financial guidance, innovative solutions and expanded access to resources that help individuals, families and businesses thrive.”
In Chicago, PNC will add approximately 25 branches to its existing 113 locations.
