The Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC) Management Committee said Ann Barron-DiCamillo has been named the new chair of the organization.
Barron-DiCamillo, executive vice president and chief information security officer at U.S. Bank, will succeed Debbie Guild, EVP and Head of Technology at the PNC Financial Services Group. Guild recently completed a three-year term as chair. Barron-DiCamillo will work with the FSSCC Management Committee to lead the organization, represent the financial services sector and support coordination with U.S. and international government partners.
“On behalf of the Management Committee and the entire FSSCC, I’d like to thank Debbie Guild for her leadership over the last three years,” Heather Hogsett, FSSCC Vice Chair and EVP and Head of BITS at the Bank Policy Institute, said. “Debbie’s leadership has helped position FSSCC at the forefront of addressing significant technology, cybersecurity, and resilience challenges facing the financial sector. Her commitment to collaboration, public-private partnership, and industry innovation has left a lasting impact on the sector and established a strong foundation for future success.”
Barron-DiCamillo assumes the role as the organization continues work on significant initiatives including focuses on cyber resilience, technology risk management and sector coordination. Under Guild, the organization developed best practices through the Cloud Executive Steering Group and Artificial Intelligence Executive Oversight Group, as well as expanded international engagement and published the FSSCC SIFMA Reconnection Framework to support recover and operational resilience.
“The financial services industry faces a rapidly evolving landscape, making the FSSCC’s mission and collaborative approach more important than ever,” Guild said. “It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of the FSSCC, and I am confident that Ann Barron-DiCamillo’s broad perspective, spanning both global and regional financial institutions, will help guide the Council’s important work in the years ahead.”
Barron-DiCamillo brings with her experience across the financial services industry and the U.S. government, including roles in leadership at American Express, Citi and federal government agencies. Prior to her selection as chair, she served as chairwoman of the FS-ISAC Global Board of Directors.
