Commerce Bank acquired Middle Market Transactions (MMTI), an affiliate of Nolan & Associates. Nolan and Associates and MMTI consolidated before the acquisition. MMTI now becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Commerce Bank that will conduct business as Nolan & Associates.

The deal gives Commerce Bank investment banking capabilities and enhances its ability to support business owners through growth, acquisition, capital-raising and ownership transition decisions.

“We are pleased to welcome Nolan & Associates to Commerce,” Bob Holmes, Commerce Bank – St. Louis chairman and CEO, said. “Nolan has built an outstanding reputation for trusted advice, deep industry knowledge and long-term client relationships. Their addition strengthens our ability to serve middle-market companies and business owners with a broader range of strategic and financial advisory services.”

Nolan & Associates will retain its leadership team, employees and Brentwood, Mo., office.

Commerce Bank is the primary subsidiary of Missouri-based Commerce Bancshares, a regional bank holding company with $35.3 billion in assets. The bank operates a network of banking centers, wealth offices and ATMs throughout the Midwest and commercial offices in 11 states.
