The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Innovation Task Force will be hosting a series of public roundtables on the technologies that are transforming American financial markets beginning Oct. 28.
“The technologies transforming our markets are rapidly advancing, and the CFTC must engage directly with the people building, using, and studying them,” CFTC Chairman Michael Selig said.
The Frontier Forum Series will provide an opportunity for discussion on the financial technologies and evolving market structures that are shaping the future of finance. Each session will include innovators and industry leaders from the public and private sectors who will discuss how the CFTC can promote responsible innovation while protecting market participants and preserving the integrity and resilience of U.S. financial markets.
The first session will focus on artificial intelligence and agentic finance.
The CFTC will announce the agenda, speakers and registration information in the near future. The public can nominate speakers.
The agency will limit the number of in-person participants. Visitors will be subject to security checks.
