The Federal Reserve Bank of New York recently appointed three new members to its Second District Advisory Council. The council is a group of senior business leaders who provide the New York Fed president and leadership with insights on business and economic conditions in the Second District. Members serve three-year terms.
The new members are:
Daniel Cunha Avis Budget Group chief financial officer. He previously served as Orion Services Group chief financial officer, Ocean Spray chief financial officer, and Heinz North America chief financial officer. He began his career at McKinsey & Company and later worked at GP Investments.
Mario Harik is XPO chairman and CEO, and previously was the company’s chief information officer. He also previously was Oakleaf Waste Management chief information officer and senior vice president of research and development, and Tallan chief technology officer.
Diego Suárez, Jr. is V. Suárez & Co. chairman of the board and CEO. He previously held sales and marketing positions at Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, F&M Schaeffer Brewing Company, and Premier Maldonado & Associates.
The council’s next meeting will be held on Feb. 23.
The Second Federal Reserve District includes New York state, 12 northern counties in New Jersey, Fairfield County in Connecticut, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
