Real estate finance standards organization MISMO announced it had named Brian Vieaux as its new president.
Vieaux currently serves as president and COO at FinLocker and has more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. Vieaux has also served in senior leadership roles at Flagstar Bank, Towne Mortgage Company, IndyMac Bank, CitiMortgage, and Source One Mortgage Corp. Vieaux is also the author of Rethink Everything You Know About Being a Next Gen Loan Officer, as well as a podcast host and social media influencer.
“Brian is an accomplished industry executive and influential leader with deep relationships, vast technological knowledge, and an innate ability to inspire and bring people together,” Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) p-resident and CEO Bob Broeksmit, CMB, said. “I am confident his passion for the industry and fresh ideas will drive innovation, increase stakeholder participation, and continue to advance MISMO industry standards that benefit consumers, lenders, and servicers.”
Vieaux earned his certified mortgage banker (CMB) designation in 2005 and has previously been co-chair of MBA’s Wholesale Executive Forum, and a member of the MBA’s Residential Board of Governors. He currently serves as a board member of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, and Axis Lending Academy. He will step into his new role on Oct. 16.
